I created Ruchel, to honor the memory of my beautiful first cousin once removed. Her name was Ruchel. She was 8 years old when she was shot and killed by the Nazis. Her mother, father and younger brother were shot and murdered along side her. According to witnesses they were all buried alive on June 3rd, 1943 in the Yolekovich woods as the Nazis liquidated the Zlochev Ghetto in Poland.
