Got into my studio this evening and finished quilting the outer border. I worked each square carefully and mindfully. After this was completed I began to bead the flowers on the dress, the headdress and I am in the middle of beading the torso. I find the beading sooo relaxing. The pace is slower than the machine quilting. I especially like the change from machine work to hand work…the threading of the needle, choosing the beads, touching the beads, and actually sewing by hand.
