I am very happy to announce that   has been juried into Quilts=Art=Quilts 2010 at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center.

 


I am so happy to share that my piece “Shalom Y’All” has been juried into A Quilters Garden: Still We Rise Again: Quilts for New Orleans. Premiere location: International Festive of Quilts- Houston Texas, November 2010. This is a juried exhibition featuring quilts that celebrate the unwavering spirit of New Orleans, the Gulf Coast, rebirth, renewal and the recovery of a city devasted five years ago by Hurricane Katrina.


My pieces Andantino and Adagio Triptych have been juried into Pen and Brush first on line exhibition Transitions: A virtual event of visual, literary, and performing arts June 3rd-September 3rd 2010. Curated by Bina Sarkar Ellias Founder, Eitor, Publisher Designer of International Gallerie Magazine.

Quilts=Art=Quilts opens at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center

Quilts=Art=Quilts is the Schweinfurth Art Center's annual juried quilt exhibition. The Art Center has long recognized the importance of quilts as a visual medium, and has been presenting quilts in an art gallery setting since 1981.

Shalom Y'All  appears in the April/May 2009 Edition of Quilter's Newletter Magazine. This piece depicts my journey to New Orleans with High School Teens and the Community Service Work that we were involved in following Hurricane Katrina.

      


I am happy to announce that Adagio III has been juried into the Boltax Gallery's Small Works Exhibition.  The gallery is located on Shelter Island, New York. I will definitely be at the opening reception on September 5th as this should be a very beautiful exhibition.

I created them using my own hand dyed fabrics, phototransfers of my original drawings and Swarovski crystals.  Anna has been denied medical coverage for her cancer treatment because her condition as been deemed a "pre-existing condition".
